Anti-insect netting specifically designed to protect against thrips
Biothrips® 346 anti-insect netting, derived from the Filbio® range, offers specific protection against thrips, thanks to its extremely fine mesh. Thrips are between 1 and 2 mm long and thrive in hot and dry conditions. They will readily attack—and in great numbers—fruit farms and market gardens (leeks, lettuce, peas, beans, etc.), orchards (plums, apricots, etc.) and flower beds (begonias, chrysanthemums, gladioli, roses, carnations, etc.). When they bite into a plant to feed off its sap, they can transmit viruses that can slow down or even stop plant growth.
MDB Texinov® has specifically designed its Biothrips® netting to effectively combat these tiny Thysanoptera. This flexible, lightweight and bright netting serves as a veritable mechanical barrier, promotes favourable climate conditions for plant growth and guarantees optimal protection against thrips and other small pests. Its effectiveness makes it possible to reduce the use of plant protection products on the crops and minimise environmental impact. This anti-insect netting can be installed in various ways, depending on the farming use: over hoops, laid flat or over a tunnel structure.
Benefits:
- Extra-fine mesh size: 350 μm
- Favourable growing conditions: perfectly permeable to air and water
- Optimal diffusion of light
