Climate-control netting to protect against hail
MDB Texinov® has developed its range of Paraflex® nets to specifically protect orchards and vineyards against hailstorms. Paraflex® polyethylene netting is characterised by its excellent resistance and “springiness”, which is obtained by means of a specific, run-resistant knitted structure. The flexibility of this netting makes it the ideal choice to protect crops against hail.
Designed to be handled and tensioned without tearing, Paraflex® netting serves as a physical barrier, as well as providing other additional advantages:
- rainshielding and windbreaking effect;
- mitigation of temperature variations;
- balanced light diffusion;
- harmonisation of fruit colouration.
The lifespan of Paraflex® nets can be improved, and their installation optimised, by using accessories or integrated cords and by reinforcing areas of the netting. Paraflex® hail netting can be recycled at the end of its life cycle thanks to the APE eco-contribution scheme (via CPA and ADIVALOR).
